Are the parties scripted?
Sort of. We guide the chaos.
Character objectives include suggested interactions and prompts, which are especially helpful for first-time players. That said, improvising, ad-libbing, and fully owning your character is highly encouraged. Fun always wins over perfection.
Will I get anything in the mail?
Nope. No envelopes. No waiting by the mailbox.
All mysteries are digital downloads with immediate access after purchase. You’ll log into your account and download your files directly. You’ll have 60 days to download everything, and once saved to your computer, they’re yours forever.
Are these mysteries suitable for all audiences?
Our mysteries are designed with adults in mind. Some themes may include mature humor or situations. Characters are often gender-neutral and can usually be played by anyone.
What program should I use to view or print my files?
Use Adobe Acrobat Reader on a laptop or desktop.
Please don’t use Mac Preview or other preview apps, as they can alter images or formatting that matter to the mystery. Adobe Reader is free and available at adobe.com.
What should I print before the party?
To pull off the crime scene of the season, you’ll want these items printed and ready to go. Most of the gameplay happens on paper, and your guests will thank you for it.
